What is your name and your title?
Victoria Antoniades- Head of Marketing, Kepak Meat Division
Describe your role with Kepak?
I look after the Marketing for the Meat Division within the Kepak business. It is a varied role that sees our team working very closely with our customers across retail, wholesale and foodservice. We provide them with key industry insights and trends. We then work with them on target markets, consumer messaging and product development which is heavily influenced by the health and nutrition agenda. The one common theme throughout all our work is how important a natural, healthy and transparent product is to the consumer. I am also studying Food, Nutrition and Health to help equip me with further knowledge on the importance of healthy nutritious food.
Tell us about a typical day in your shoes?
In the past I attended a mixture of events in my role. When I wasn’t traveling around our various sites, I split my time attending agriculture shows and industry conferences. These past 12 months have made it easier to get involved in all facets of the business as all events are being held online! At any one time I am involved in a number of different branding, New Product Development and consumer insights projects with our key customers, as a result of this I work closely with our sales teams.
What do you love most about working for Kepak?
We have a great workplace culture at Kepak. We have a great team with a strong work ethic which makes it a fast-paced but very exciting place to work. I love that my role allows me to work and interact with a range of functions across our business from NPD to agriculture and technical, which means I am constantly learning about our products and consumers.
What is Kepak doing to innovate in nutrition?
Kepak’s mission is to protect the natural, nutritious quality of our meats. Red meat is the most bioavailable source of iron and zinc and is an excellent source of protein, selenium and vitamin B6 and B12. We have worked with some of Ireland’s top nutritionists, to create naturally nutritious products and recipes and keep up to date with the latest trends to deliver the consumer a tasty and nutritionally packed product.
