Kepak recently supported two events in The Radison Blu Hotel Limerick and The Tullamore Court Hotel, introducing the Warrendale Wagyu Ireland programme to Irish beef farmers. They are seeking farmers interested in producing, rearing and finishing Wagyu cattle.
The programme offers Irish farmers a chance to produce Wagyu dairy crosses known for their sustainability, premium quality, and efficient finishing. Farmers learned about benefits such as guaranteed 2027 beef finishing prices, €250 per calf payments, and bonuses for finishers.
UK Commercial Director, Tom Richardson gave an overview of the reputable UK brand, which has been growing strong since 2017, while Nutritionist Lizz Clarke gave an overview of the inputs needed for high efficiency and good grading animals.
Wagyu beef is celebrated for its rich marbling and premium value, making it an attractive option for farmers seeking diversification.
